Great news. Our Florida chapter has been established with the help of our enthusiastic volunteers. Thanks to you, Books for Brazil is now qualified with the Florida Department of State. We are in need of volunteers that can help us with our activities. Please contact Joelma if you want to help.

A Book Drive benefiting Books for Brazil is being organized at Felix Varela Highschool (www.varelahs.com, Miami, FL) coordinated by Sthephany Delgado, a very inspiring 16 year old junior at this school. That’s the spirit we need!! Thank you!
Finally, we have just completed our first 2009 book delivery to 8 institutions. A total of 380 books were distributed throughout Brazil:
